Being a good listener means much more than just listening with ears. Eyes mean that I should look at you while you are speaking as a sign of respect. In other words I should not watch TV, or look over your shoulder at other people while we are talking

作一名好的倾听者，决不只是“用耳朵听”。“目”字的意思是，你说话时我应当看着你，这是尊重对方的表现。换句话说，当我们在一起谈话时，我不应当看电视，也不应当越过你的肩膀瞅着别人。
